Security Cleared to SC Level
The Test Issue / Data Centre Engineer will work at the Data Centre with the aim of maintaining high availability and security of all Data Centre services in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
System Security
Adherence to company and customer security policies.
Account management.
Anti-virus management.
Application of security patches.
Test Issue Diagnosis and Resolution
Conduct technical investigation of failed test cases to determine root cause.
Identify actions required to resolve root cause.
Test actions to ensure they will achieve the resolution required.
Apply resolutions.
Verify effects of resolution and take any remedial action required.
Maintain audit trail of actions undertaken and results to feed clearQuest test issue database.
Change Control
Adhere to ITIL 3 / ISO:20000 change and release control process.
Server Management
Monitor server components through the use of management tools.
Maintain service ¡V pre-empt system failures.
Anti-virus software maintenance.
Maintain and monitor backup jobs and tape library.
Maintain hardware inventory.
Carry out hardware maintenance and upgrades.
Diagnose faults and invoke third party support when required.
Creation and maintenance of scripted server builds.
Candidates will ideally be able to demonstrate an understanding of the following key technologies:
Windows 2K3/2K Server with good understanding of Active Directory
Linux (preferably Redhat)
Citrix Presentation Server
Firewall management (Netscreen, Borderware & Cisco)
Switch configuration and management (preferably Extreme)
Skills:
Windows 2003, active directory, group policy, Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2007.
Data centre experience
SC Security Cleared
Qualifications:
MCSE or Redhat RHCE
Redhat Linux or Windows 2003
Exchange 2003 or 2007
Data centre experience
